late summer days

I am never one to ring in the fall with enthusiasm, and right now is one of those times when I wonder why people rush to welcome upcoming seasons when, in reality, we are still halfway in the current one. I guess that being a student all my life, I associate the fall with the end of all of the summer fun.

Well, despite all of those ramblings there is one constant: my wanderlust and desire to just SEE everything this big beautiful place has to offer.

Can't wait to get in on the constant movement and bustle and uncertainty of traveling again. There is a time for that. Right now, this is a time to work for it.

  1. I love this post- I feel the same way! I can't wait to travel again, but I am at the point where I have to buckle down, work and save some $ and then I'm hoping to take off for a long time!

  2. You best believe I pinned that first photo. I am a total sucker for phrases and quotes, add a map and I'm done. I, too, have the massive wanderlust issue but I honestly have a harder time convincing myself to be happy in the place I am. Even when traveling I'm planning--nuts.

  5. Well, I have to say that I look forward to spring pretty much as soon as winter starts :) Right now I am counting down the days! And I agree - travelling is awesome. Being able to afford to go places is largely what keeps me working (well that, and the mortgage!).

  8. To travel the world would be a dream but to travel the world with my lovey and fam would be the ultimate dream come true. So for the mean time, I need to work hard to make turn this dream into a reality!

  9. I love the push pin map. I really want one someday! I have a list of everywhere I've been, and the more I travel, the smaller my list seems to get because I just realize how many OTHER places I want to go! Conundrum.

  13. Summer months have just never been my favorite. It is normally too hot for me to really enjoy being outside. I love the fashion associated with Fall. Tights, sweaters, and layer. I also love the crispness in the air that makes me love being outside. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving ushering in the holiday season. I love apple cider and candy apples. It is just the perfect time of year for me.

I'm having a blog giveaway, hope you can stop by and enter. Sunny Days and Starry Nights

  15. Thanks for coming by my blog!
I have to admit, I am one of those season rushers. I get so excited for one season, then once its about half way over I get bored with it and want it to be the next!

I also wanted to let you know, I wanted to reply back to your comment, but then realized you don't have your setting to reply by email! Maybe you have it this way on purpose, but I thought I'd say something because a lot of people don't know about it :)
